My Black Friday/Cyber Monday purchases are all coming in the mail this week and I get to have the pleasure of playing dress up and breaking in new shoes. So far I've only received my package from Neiman's Last Call which included a pair of booties and a bag. I was thisclose to getting a patent leather Proenza PS11 but I didn't have the balls to drop a thousand dollars for something that I'll probably destroy in the long run. Shopping sucks when you can't afford it. Good thing sales exist!

Receiving a mini skirt in the mail while it's freezing outside isn't exactly ideal. I ordered the damn thing when it was still summer but had to exchange them for a smaller size and now with Texas's bipolar weather I can't even wear it how I want. This sparked a hunt for thick tights I could wear with this skirt. There's no way in hell I'm going bare legged in this cold, I'd have to be a psychopath or a club slut to even consider it. I spend about 80 years looking through messes of tights at my local discount store and the good fight finally pays off. I found fleece tights. Not leggings. Tights. Holy shit, where have these been all my life??

I. Love. Ribbed. Knits. Seriously, there's nothing in the world better/cozier than a chunky ribbed knit. Before the trend exploded on the fall runways, I was always in the mens section hoarding gargantuan sweaters - the bigger the better. But what's even better than a ribbed knit is.... TWO ribbed knits, obviously. I love the heavy textures against the fluidity of the chiffon shorts and sheer tights.

This outfit is so awkwardly monochromatic but it's really the silhouette that I'm after. Everything is a bit structured but disheveled. The tee is ridiculously crinkly yet has a solid shape, as do the pants, and the shoes and bag are sharp and angular.
I've realized since I (almost) reluctantly bought these Helmut pants they've wedged their way into my rotation of favorites. I've worn them so much that I've already ripped the seam in the knee.
I wholeheartedly believe that everyone needs to own a pair of baggy leather trousers at least sometime in their lifetime, it'll change your life! I swear! It'll let your thigh hairs grow in an outwards direction! It'll make you feel less shitty when you go out to dinner and eat the entire menu! Can you tell I'm really excited?!
My friends probably think I don't own any other pairs of pants anymore, but I'm okay with that.

TWO WAYS
This Ann Demeulemeester robe has served me very well throughout the years. It's got buttons all up and down it so it's a really transformative piece. I was playing with draping on this robe and I came up with this asymmetric skirt/cowl neck top shape. Asymmetric skirts are all the rage right now (obviously look at you, Anthony Vaccarello) which I'm not mad at. It's flattering and sexy without being too ouvert, what's not to love?

As of right now I'm reeeeaaaaally into this Ann Demeulemeester top, if you can call it that... My boyfriend said it looks like a giant g string which is actually a pretty accurate description. But shit, I get so many Haider ss11 vibes from it so it's basically flawless. It only made sense to stay within the Haider vein with this top, so say hi to my favorite outfit as of late: this Ann D g string tank, baggy leather Helmut trousers, Rick Owens boots and my stringiest little La Perla bra that my friend also compared to a g string. Horray to articles of clothing that look like g strings but aren't actually wedged in your ass!

Spring 2015 brought an onslaught of platform heeled eye candy. Who doesn't like platforms? I'm going to go ahead and profess my love for the once fleeting trend. Platforms, first and foremost, are the only reason that comfortable 6 inch heels exist. They are empowering, I know this because the minute I slip on these gargantuan platforms I feel like I can conquer the world while simultaneously being really really ridiculously good looking. Not to mention when paired with leather pants (even if they do make your butt look weird).

Everyone needs a one shouldered top/dress. It's sophisticated enough for whatever conservative people do yet sexy enough for the club or a date. Since one of my friends has held my one shouldered American Apparel dress captive for the past several years I had to move on. I want to say that this one shouldered Margiela top is much better than any American Apparel item of clothing.

Taking advantage of the few days of cold to bust out my new bb, this Acne Studios Eve coat.
During Dallas's last cold front, I took the liberty of moving (almost) all my summer clothes into my storage closet and bringing out my winter clothes. Oh, how I've missed my winter clothes! I damn near forgot what I had so it was like vintage shopping through my own wardrobe.
As I'm putting up my coats, I realize that I don't own a black coat.
Seriously? Something so basic, something that every clothes hoarder should have at least one of and I don't have one. Clearly something is seriously wrong with this picture.
This then sparks hours of ignoring my boyfriend and online shopping. It wasn't even coat appropriate weather yet but I had to be prepared for whatever Dallas's psychopathic weather had to bring.
Then, just in time for 50ºF weather, my coat gets delivered (although there was a lot of UPS drama involved). It's even more perfect than the photos showed, and the fit is oversized-ly perfect. I can have my chunky knit sweaters underneath and be able to still move my arms, unlike the other Acne coat I have... *side eye*

Here I am in my natural habitat, the bedroom (or at least one side of it). I recently re-did my sitting area and now I'm always here. So much for having an office... But it's ultra cozy albeit a bit maximal but I have so much shit I don't ever want to part with. For example, my Irving Penn and Tilda Swinton in Comme Des Garçons photos which were in a box for a lifetime. Now I've made space for them, and it feels nice to have a bit of beauty around. My boyfriend is super minimal and hates anything on the walls except for TVs and shelves so this is truly MY side of the room.
And since its grossly hot outside, I'm doing some indoor blogging.

So in my last post I was saying how it's too fucking hot out to take photos outside... Well, a crazy storm came in and now that it's over it's soooooo coooold!! I love it even though I had already busted out all the fans in anticipation of summer. Today I went outside and had a photo shoot without a single drop of sweat rolling down my face. It's a miracle.

This paired with my Kerastase Chroma Thermique, Oleo-Relax Serum and Aquage Detailing Creme give me a clean yet textured/messy look without the use of hot tools, which is a huge bonus for those with fucked up bleached out hair like mine.

DECARNIN'S BALMAIN
Often times when I think about badass effortlessness I revert to Balmain spring 2010. Christophe Decarnin was nearing the end of his term at Balmain but he sure made it iconic. Plus the ripped up t shirt that carried a controversial price tag ($1,625) didn't hurt.
